Project Staff
at the Department of Islamic-Theological Studies
to 30.05.2024.

The Department for Islamic-Theological Studies of the Faculty of Philological and Cultural Studies offers theological research and teaching in order to promote the scientific training of the next generation of clerics of Islamic religious societies. The position is limited to 1 year, with an option to extend for a further year.

Duration of employment: 1 year/s

Extent of Employment: 15 hours/week
Job grading in accordance with collective bargaining agreement: §54 VwGr. IIb with relevant work experience determining the assignment to a particular salary grade.

Job Description:
Your area of responsibility includes the support of the "Professorship for Islamic Religious Education" and its projects.

1. General secretarial tasks:
  • Appointment and room coordination
  • Meeting preparation and taking minutes
  • Website updating
  • Travel management and absence management

2. Support in teaching and research operations:
  • Supporting the academic staff in all administrative matters
  • Assistance with the organisation of guest lectures, congresses and conferences

3. Budget management and accounting:
  • Assistance with resource and budget planning
  • Assistance in bookkeeping and project controlling
  • Keeping the cash register
  • Arranging transfers (e.g. fee notes, invoices, etc.)

Profile:
Vocational secondary school or completed apprenticeship or several years of professional experience in the office sector - Comprehensive IT user skills (MS Office, Typo3, i3v) - High level of written and oral expression - Good English skills
